The working principle of night sensing technology applied in solar wall lights

2024-12-02

Night sensing technology is mainly based on the principle of infrared sensing or photosensitive sensing. IR sensors determine the presence of an object by detecting the infrared radiation it emits, while photosensitive sensors monitor changes in ambient light to trigger the appropriate response. In outdoor solar wall lights, these advanced sensors are usually tightly integrated with components such as solar panels, LED light sources and controllers to form a complete and intelligent lighting system.

Infrared Sensor: When an object (such as a person, animal or vehicle) enters the detection range of the infrared sensor, the sensor will detect the infrared radiation emitted by the object in time and send the signal to the controller. After receiving the signal, the controller will start the LED light source to provide you with lighting.

Photosensitive Sensing: On the other hand, photosensitive sensors trigger lighting responses based on changes in ambient light intensity. During the daytime or when there is plenty of sunlight, the sensor automatically inhibits the LED light source from turning on; while at night or when the environment is darker, solar wall lights allows the LED light source to light up, providing you with a cozy lighting experience.
