When choosing where to install solar lights, we need to consider a number of factors to ensure that they make the best use of solar energy and provide lighting effectively. Here are some key selection criteria for your reference:
I. Light conditions
Sufficient light: Please make sure to install the solar lights in a location with sufficient light and no blocking shadows on the light-facing surface of the solar panels throughout the day. This ensures that the solar panel receives direct sunlight, thus maximizing power generation efficiency.
Avoiding Shadows: It is recommended to avoid installing solar lights in the shade of trees, near buildings, or in other areas that may create shadows. These shadows can interfere with direct sunlight and reduce the power generation efficiency of the solar panels.
II. Orientation and Angle
Orientation: In the northern hemisphere, it is recommended that solar panels be oriented due south (can be slightly west of 5 degrees in order to better receive sunlight at about 1 o'clock in the afternoon, when power generation is usually higher). In the Southern Hemisphere, on the other hand, they should be oriented due north. Near the equator, consider placing the solar panels flat.
Angle Adjustment: For best results, adjust the angle at which the solar panel is tilted to the horizontal according to your local latitude. This helps ensure that even during the rainy season, the solar panels receive enough sunlight to maximize power generation.
